FAQ
Fabrics & Care
How are Dicksticker swimmers made?
We use regenerated ocean plastics – discarded fishing nets and other waste, to craft our swimwear fabric. The nylon fibres are recycled and re-spun, then blended with a touch of stretch (elastane) for comfort. Each pair is sewn and finished with ultimate durability in mind.
What are Dickstickers made from?
We source our fabrics from Carvico, an Italian company committed to creating sustainable and premium recycled fabrics. All our swimwear is 78% recycled polyamide (fishing nets and plastics) and 22% elastane. Our swimmers are chlorine and salt-water resistant, UV-resistant, fade-resistant, and made to hold their shape swim after swim.
How should I care for my Dickstickers?
To keep your Dickstickers looking (and feeling) their best:
- Rinse in cold water immediately after each swim to wash out any salt, chlorine, or sunscreen.
- Hand-wash or gently cold-water machine cycle.
- Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh detergents.
- Hand to dry in the shade — don't tumble dry or leave in direct sun for hours.
- Avoid rough surfaces (concrete, rough pool edges, abrasive surfaces) to prevent snags or fabric damage.
These steps help preserve colour, elasticity, and fit for longer — letting you get the most life out of every pair.
Do you restock sold out prints?
Sometimes — our limited-run designs move fast. If a pattern you love is gone, it may return, but we can't make any promises.
Sizing & Fit
How do I pick the right size?
Check our size chart for waist and hip measurements. Our swimmers are cut to common international standards. If you're between sizes and you want a snug fit — go down. If you prefer more room or comfort — go up, and use the drawstring to help secure things.
Which fit should I choose?
- Want a sharper, modern look with minimal coverage? Shop the Racer.
- Prefer classic coverage and comfort? Shop the Euro.
The fit feels wrong — what can I do?
If you believe it's a sizing defect or manufacturing fault, contact us at hello@dicksticker.com.au with your order number and issue details. If it's a sizing preference, you may exchange or return as per our Returns Policy.
The Racer fit
- A sharper, more fashion-forward cut with hidden drawstring.
- Higher leg, slimmer sides, a modern and comfortable profile.
- Designed to stand out whether you're at the beach, barbie, or boatshed.
The Euro fit
- A more classic, timeless style with outer-facing drawstring.
- Slightly more coverage with a higher, thicker waistline than the Racer.
- Comfortable and secure — swimming, surfing, or laid back pool days, it has you covered.
Are Dickstickers suitable for training and lap swimming?
Yes. The Racer is especially popular with lap swimmers thanks to the secure, athletic cut. Dicksticker's fabric's stretch, fit retention, and chlorine resistance make both styles great for pool training.

Sustainability & Why It Matters
Are Dickstickers really eco-friendly?
Yes. By using regenerated nylon from reclaimed fishing nets and ocean plastics, we're part of a global circular production loop. Each pair helps keep waste out of the ocean, and is packaged sustainably, too.
Does using recycled nylon affect quality?
Not at all. Our recycled fabric is chlorine-resistant, UV-resistant, fade-proof, and engineered to keep its shape — often outperforming standard nylon swimwear. In short, you won't sacrifice performance or style for sustainability.
