If we're waiting for someone else to save our planet, then it's already too late.
Everything we do affects the environment in some way. We can’t stop our impact, but we can live in a way to minimise it.
Every decision we make at DICKSTICKER regarding our manufacturing, materials and packaging aims to affect our environment in the smallest possible way. In fact, we aim to help our environment thrive.
Our Swimwear
We source our fabrics from Carvico, an Italian company committed to creating sustainable and premium recycled fabrics. Together, we share a vision of removing pre and post-industrial plastic waste from the world’s oceans.
All our swimwear is made from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from ghost fishing nets and other plastic pollution. Specifically, it’s made from 78% recycled polyamide (fishing nets and plastics) and 22% elastane.
Our Packaging
We think about how your DICKSTICKERS arrive to you just as much as how we think about making them. How could we sleep at night if we just wrapped everything in plastic!? So, we are committed to using eco-friendly and sustainable packaging.
Our Oceans
By 2050 our seas may contain more garbage and plastic than fish.
Every year, 8 million tonnes of waste ends up in our oceans. Of that, 640,000 tonnes are fishing nets which drift in our oceans, suffocating marine ecosystems and posing a constant threat to wildlife.
