Description

Swim with the dugongs in our Sea Grass Racer. Seagrass is a resillient flowering marine plant that grows in shallow, salty waters. Dugongs, Sea Turtles and Manatees all rely on seagrass. Seagrass ecosystems face threats from human activities like coastal development, pollution, and climate change, which lead to habitat degradation and loss. Seagrass beds are vital not only for marine biodiversity but also for global environmental health.

All our swimwear is made from 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from ghost fishing nets and other plastic pollution. Specifically, it’s made from 78% recycled polyamide (fishing nets and plastics) and 22% elastane. 

FUN FACT: Seagrass meadows can release bubbles of oxygen that look like sparkling "underwater champagne" during photosynthesis on sunny days!
